I am Jean Choukroun, a French game developer
Avid lover of video games since my youngest days, i have fond memories of playing SNES and N64 with my brothers, sister, and cousins
From Zelda to Mario, Splinter Cell to Assassin's Creed, Bioshock to Mirror's Edge, or The Last of Us to Red Dead Redemption, games have offered me lifelong memories
After getting a Ph.D in Physics & Nanoelectronics in late 2018 I decided to pursue a new avenue, took a leap of faith, and got into game development
I have been working at Ubisoft Paris Studio since April 2019 and have worked on
Watch Dogs: Legion, Beyond Good & Evil 2, and Star Wars Outlaws

Virtual Photography
I started taking screenshots in games back around 2017, first using it as a way to capture vivid memories from games I enjoyed
I loved stumbling onto those screenshots years later, and reminiscing about the great time I spent in those worlds & with those characters

Around 2018, several high-profile AAA games shipped with Photo Modes (Assassin's Creed: Origins, God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man), and I started tinkering with the options available in those. My first shots were terrible, of course !
I started getting more serious about Virtual Photography in 2023, playing Horizon: Forbidden West and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Both shipped with high-quality Photo Modes, filled to the brim with features allowing you to get the (almost) perfect shot

Since then, snapping shots of those digital journeys has become a part of my everyday life, and strengthened my love for the medium !
